Madness Origins
The term "March Madness" was first used to refer to basketball by an Illinois high school official in 1939, but didn't find its way to the NCAA tournament until a CBS broadcaster used it in 1982. 📆 It has since become synonymous with the thrills and upsets of the annual Division I men's basketball championship.
